The Dominican Republic is one of the most important exporters of quality products to the North American market, which represents more than 10 billion dollars per year for the national economy.

The statement was made by Ligia Bonetti, president of Grupo SID, at the Trade Fair held by the US National Supermarket Association (NSA), comprising 600 members who include goods manufactured in the country on their shelves.

Bonetti was the guest speaker on the opening night of the activity, which took place in Queens County, New York, in the United States.

The businesswoman highlighted the commitment to promote development and investment and improve the quality of life of Dominicans in the country and abroad.

“Being here before you is a great privilege and fills us with immense satisfaction to say that we are in 17 countries and with the commitment to continue reaching new markets,” said the executive.

Optimize processes

On the other hand, Bonetti highlighted the aims of Grupo SID as a Dominican company facing the international market, so it is undergoing a digital transformation to optimize, not only manufacturing processes, but also to streamline the way of buying, selling and conducting business.

She highlighted the alliance with companies such as Amazon Web Services and the transformation that the group is experiencing, hand in hand with consulting firms such as McKinsey, Deloitte and Blue Yonder, among others.

She thanked the support given to the brands she represents, highlighting the commitment of the NSA in supporting Dominican companies and their products in various establishments in the United States market.

The activity was led by Samuel Collado, president of the NSA, and its main members.
