La llegada de cruceros sigue imparable en Puerto Plata, y es que la compañía Carnival mantiene muy dinámica sus operacion en ese destino, muestra de ello es que esta semana será de mucho movimiento en la novia del Atlántico por los miles de cruceristas que arribarán en estos días. El flujo inicia este martes con la visita de 5,406 turistas a bordo del crucero Regal Princess.
Según informó el Ministerio de Turismo (Mitur), se espera además este próximo miércoles la llegada del crucero Eurodam con 4,130 visitantes; el sábado Costa Deliziosa con 5,057 y Azura con 4,322.
Con el arribo de dichos cruceros a la terminal Amber Cove se estima un total de 18,915 visitantes; cantidad que es bien recibida por las autoridades del sector por que suman a la meta propuesta por el Gobierno de llegar a los 10 millones de turistas hacia el 2020.
Ante el auge que experimenta Carnival en sus operaciones, líderes de la industria turística han proyectado que este año Puerto Plata recibirá 600,000 cruceristas, cifra muy significativa cuando se compara con los 470,000 que arribaron a ese destino el pasado año. Mostrando así la consolidación de la naviera estadounidense en su terminal de Maimón.

According to the Ministry of Tourism (Mitur), the Eurodam cruise is expected to arrive next Wednesday with 4,130 visitors aboard while Costa Deliziosa with 5,057 and Azura with 4,322 are expected on Saturday.
A total of 18,915 visitors is estimated with the arrival of these ships to the Amber Cove terminal; an amount that is well received by the sector authorities because they add to the goal proposed by the Government to reach the 10 million tourists by 2020.
Given the growth of Carnival´s operations, leaders in the tourism industry have forecast that this year Puerto Plata will receive 600,000 cruise passengers, a very significant figure when compared to the 470,000 that arrived there last year. This shows the consolidation of the US shipping company at its Maimón terminal.
