Luis Heredia Bonetti, a Dominican lawyer, was recognized by the firm DMK Abogados y Central Law and the Fundación Institucionalidad y Justicia (Finjus), in his capacity as a forerunner in the exercise of new legal practices in the Dominican Republic.

The tribute held at the Seminar on Arbitration in the Dominican Republic and Latin America was delivered by Enrique De Marchena Kaluche, president of DMK Abogados and Central Law, who highlighted the qualities and contributions of Heredia Bonetti to the exercise of business law in the country, stating that “ he has been a visionary and promoter of important changes in the legal treatment of foreign investment ”.

Rosa Campillo and Miguel Heredia Bonetti received recognition thanking them for this distinction. The Dominican Republic, like the rest of the Latin American countries, has faced in the last 20 years an avalanche of Investor-State demands, related to foreign investment.

The great challenge for the State is to achieve the goals of transparency and professionalism in the bidding and contracting processes.
