Executive director of Punta Bergantín, Andres Marranzini Grullon, assured that, from now on, the focus will be on results, by developing new infrastructure, the ongoing integration of brands, visible progress that will reflect the scope of an initiative destined to redefine the touristic and economic positioning of Puerto Plata.
The inauguration of the Punta Bergantín Welcome Center marks the beginning of the physical infrastructure of the tourism project, conceived to transform the north coast through new investments, infrastructure, and opportunities for its community, and represents a vision taking shape aimed at showcasing the potential of the so-called New North.
During the event, executive director of Punta Bergantín, Andres Marranzini Grullon, assured that, from now on, the focus will be on results, by developing new infrastructure, the ongoing integration of brands, visible progress that will reflect the scope of an initiative destined to redefine the touristic and economic positioning of Puerto Plata.
“The Welcome Center means much more than just opening a physical space. It marks the moment when the vision for Punta Bergantín becomes tangible. We are entering an implementation phase where we will see infrastructure increase, new investments being made, and projects moving forward to generate opportunities and restore Puerto Plata to its rightful leading role in the country’s tourism development”, said Marranzini Grullon.
Banreservas CEO, Leonardo Aguilera, reaffirmed the financial institution’s commitment to Punta Bergantín and guaranteed its support for every project, process, and agreement, as it has done since its inception. This support reinforces the institution’s confidence in a proposal that combines investment, sustainability, and community development as pillars for driving regional growth.
For his part, Minister of the Presidency, Jose Ignacion Paliza, emphasized that Punta Bergantín and the Amber Highway are fundamental elements to ushering in a new era in the history of Puerto Plata. The convergence of both projects will strengthen connectivity along the north coast and create favorable conditions for attracting investments, boosting economic activity, and creating new job opportunities for the province and the region.
The Welcome Center thus becomes the first operational infrastructure at Punta Bergantín and the gateway to a development that will progressiviely advance with new tourism, real estate, and service projects. The space will allow investors, partners, visitors, and communities to connect with the project’s comprehensive vision, while also marking the beginning of a phase characterized by tangible progress in the area.
Punta Bergantín is envisioned as a new development hub for the north coast, integrating private investment, infrastructure, hotel and real estate offerings, job creation, and productive links. With the start of its initial construction, the project is advancing toward its goal of strengthening Puerto Plata’s competitiveness, diversifying its tourism offerings, and consolidating the New North as a region with greater opportunities for investment, economic growth and sustainable development.
