• The airline inaugurated its new corporate headquarters in Santo Domingo, from where it seeks to further strengthen the Dominican Republic as a regional air hub.

Arajet, the flag carrier of the Dominican Republic, officially inaugurated its new corporate offices during an event attended by government authorities, strategic partners, and members of the media. During the ceremony, the company also presented its 2025 performance results and its growth outlook for 2026.

Arajet’s Founder and Chief Executive Officer, Víctor Pacheco Méndez, highlighted the airline’s historic performance achieved over the past year.

“2025 was an extraordinary year for Arajet. We transported 1,480,278 passengers, representing a 37% increase compared to the previous year. Of this total, more than 1.2 million passengers traveled to or from the Dominican Republic, clearly demonstrating the direct impact of our operations on the country’s tourism and connectivity,” said Pacheco Méndez.

He further noted that the routes with the highest passenger volumes were Medellín, Bogotá, Mexico City, Buenos Aires, Lima, Miami, São Paulo, Newark, Cancún, and San Juan. The countries generating the highest traffic were Colombia, Mexico, the United States, Argentina, and Peru.

Additionally, he emphasized that between July and December 2025, Arajet ranked as the third-largest airline in terms of passenger traffic to and from the Dominican Republic. For 2026, the company projects transporting more than two million passengers.

Pacheco also announced that Arajet will launch its cargo services this year, along with the introduction of a customer loyalty program and a co-branded credit card. The airline will also open new routes across South America and the United States.

According to a press release, the event underscored Arajet’s role as a strategic asset for the development of Dominican tourism, driven by its positive impact on air connectivity, increased visitor flows, and contribution to the sustainability of the sector. Arajet continues to consolidate its position as the fastest-growing airline in the country.

In this context, the strategic relevance of Punta Cana International Airport and Las Américas International Airport was highlighted as key pillars of regional expansion, strengthening air links between the Caribbean, North America, Central America, and South America, and positioning the Dominican Republic as the new air hub of the Americas.

Among the most significant milestones in 2025 were Arajet’s entry into the U.S. market with routes to New York, Miami, Puerto Rico, Chicago, Orlando, and Boston, as well as its admission to the International Air Transport Association (IATA), becoming the first Dominican airline in 30 years to obtain this membership.

Arajet currently operates a fleet of 13 aircraft and plans to close 2026 with 17 aircraft, with additional deliveries scheduled between March and the fall of this year. The airline also expects to transport close to two million passengers in 2026, reinforcing its position as one of the country’s leading airlines.
