Según De Marchena Kaluche, “los números están ahí, y que estos indican que las exenciones fiscales para el sector turístico no son relevantes, a la luz de lo que es la composición total de las exenciones impositivas en la República Dominicana.
Por tanto, De Marchena indica que los representantes del sector hotelero apuestan a que el presidente Danilo Medina continuará apoyando el flujo de inversión turística que viene a la República Dominicana, que él mismo ha denominado la locomotora del desarrollo del país.
Para el Lic. De Marchena Kaluche, la percepción en este momento es de observación y de vigilancia del accionar, sobre todo del sector público, representado en el Estado Dominicano, a la luz del discurso pronunciado recientemente por el Director de Impuestos Internos.
Marchena Kaluche piensa que pese a sus declaraciones, Magín Díaz y los representantes del sector turístico lograrán una amigable conversación, donde los representantes de la DGII y los líderes del sector turístico encontrarán la fórmula para continuar beneficiando el desarrollo y fomento del turismo.
A su entender, el discurso del director de la DGII básicamente ha puesto a los inversores extranjeros en alerta, sobre todo a los españoles, en una posición de observancia, sobre lo que ocurrirá en las próximas semanas, en especial sobre lo que decidirá el Gobierno con el Acuerdo de Pagos Anticipados de Impuestos (APA).
“Sobre todo se verá como este tema afectará de una manera u otra el clima para la inversión en turismo en la República Dominicana”, dijo. No obstante, los comentarios generados por este debate, De Marchena Kaluche está confiado de que el Gobierno presidido por Danilo Medina seguirá apoyando al sector turístico. Piensa que la Ley No. 158-01, que es el instrumento principal para la inversión turística en la República Dominicana, se mantendrá sin variación.
