El Lic. Enrique De Marchena participó en el panel “Seguridad Jurídica y Marco Regulatorio para el Turismo de Salud”, llevado a cabo en el marco del “3er Congreso Internacional sobre Turismo de Salud y Bienestar”, celebrado el pasado 2 de septiembre. El Lic. De Marchena ofreció una brillante disertación titulada “Importancia del Turismo de Salud y Bienestar para la economía de la República Dominicana”.
El referido panel estuvo integrado por el Dr. Leonel Melo Guerrero, socio de la firma de abogados OMG y el Lic. Manuel Luna del Centro de Resolución Alternativa de Controversias de la Cámara de Comercio y Producción de Santo Domingo. El mismo estuvo moderado por el Dr. Jorge Subero Isa, Ex – Presidente de la Suprema Corte de Justicia.
En su participación, el Lic. De Marchena destacó la importancia de seguir diversificando el producto turístico dominicano al incluir nuevas ofertas tales como el Turismo de Salud. Asimismo, expresó que la salud y la seguridad constituyen elementos claves de la cadena de apoyo al sector turismo, sin los cuales no hay posibilidades de éxito para un destino.
Señaló la importancia del Turismo de Salud, el cual debe tomar en consideración la importancia de la acreditación de los prestadores de servicios de salud para el turismo y la creación de alianzas con el sector hotelero y las empresas aseguradoras, entre otros.[:en]On the occasion of the «3rd International Congress on Health and Welfare Tourism» held on 2nd September, Mr. Enrique De Marchena participated in the «Legal Certainty and Regulatory Framework for Health Tourism» panel, with the theme «The Importance of Health and Wellness Tourism for the Dominican Economy.»
The panel was composed of Dr. Leonel Melo Guerrero, from OMG, and Mr. Manuel Luna, from the Santo Domingo Chamber of Commerce and Production´s Center for Alternative Dispute Resolution. Dr. Jorge Subero Isa, former President of the Supreme Court, acted as moderator.
During his talk, Mr. De Marchena stressed the importance of further diversifying the Dominican tourist product to include new offers such as health tourism. He also said that health and safety are key elements in the chain of support to the tourism sector, without which a destination has no chance of success.
He emphasized the importance of health tourism, which must consider the importance of accrediting health service providers for tourism and creating alliances with the hotel sector and insurance companies, among other things.[:]
