For the sixth consecutive year, Punta Cana International Airport (PUJ) was awarded as the best airport by size and region in the 5 to 15 million passenger category in the Caribbean and Latin America, an award that is granted by Airport Service Quality (ASQ).

The announcement was made by the executives of the Punta Cana International Airport (PUJ) where they explain that the Airport Service Quality Awards (ASQ) represent the highest recognition for airport operators and distinguishes the best airports in the world for their excellence in management and service based on a traveler satisfaction survey conducted by the Airports Council International (ACI).

They also announced that the airport also received the “Voice of the Costumer Recognition” and the “Airport Health Accreditation” also granted by the Airport Council International (ACI), the latter for the second consecutive year.

Meanwhile, Luis Felipe Oliveira, CEO of the ACI, said that the winners show leadership in customer experience during a challenging time in the industry´s history, and that they are very proud of their stellar performance offering customers the best experience.

Punta Cana International Airport is the first airport in the country to achieve this recognition and maintain it for six consecutive years, making it one of the top 10 airports in Latin America and the most important in the insular Caribbean.
