The Sosua and Cabarete Hotel and Restaurant Association (Ashoresoca) is pleased to congratulate the Ocean Club Group and the Marriott Chain upon the inauguration of the Luxury Collection Ocean Club in Sosua and breaking ground for the W Cabarete hotel, both properties managed by Marriot Group and a future investment for Ritz Carlton. The activities were attended by the President Mr. Luis Abinader Corona and the Minister of Tourism, Lic David Collado, accompanied by the CEO Ian Schembri Sant and public figures from Sosua including the Mayor and the Ambassador of Israel.
These investments are very important for the communities of Sosua and Cabarete as they will give an important boost to tourism development and will give the community a new status in the tourism field and the creation of direct and indirect jobs.
During the event, the Minister of Tourism, Mr. David Collado announced a program to rescue and regulate Sosua beach and improve the beach in Cabarete, with an investment of 400 million pesos. Ashoresoca welcomes this program as it will help improve the conditions of the beaches that are visited daily by national and international visitors. These improvements will make it possible to adapt the beaches and thus attract the family tourism these communities have always dreamed of.
The future is guaranteed in the hands of the Presidency and the Ministry of Tourism.
