The Association of Hotels and Tourism of the Dominican Republic (Asonahores) concluded the twenty-fourth edition of the Dominican Annual Tourism Exchange, DATE 2024, held at the Paradisus Palma Real hotel.

Aguie Lendor, executive vice president of Asonahores, explained that DATE 2024 ended with 8,500 business meetings. She also added that in this edition, business meetings were held between suppliers and specialized buyers.

She emphasized that this year, 133 booths participated, representing 23 countries, with over 340 buyers and 500 suppliers.

On his part, David Llibre, president of Asonahores, stated: “DATE is a marketing and promotion strategy that allows us to keep our offer current, providing a platform for business and relationships for the different actors of the Dominican tourism product to continue the growth of visitor arrivals that we have had and to continue impacting our economy and society.”

DATE is the main marketing event for the Dominican tourism product and its complementary offer.

The event was sponsored by the Ministry of Tourism, Meliá Hotels International/Paradisus Palma Real, Hyatt All Inclusive Collection/Secrets Tides Punta Cana, Karisma Hotels & Resorts, Banreservas, Banco Popular Dominicano, Therrestra, and Consorcio Energético Punta Cana – Macao (CEPM).

Likewise, Solbus, Arajet, Renny Travel, Barceló Hotels & Resorts, Codelpa, Banco BHD, Banco de Desarrollo y Exportaciones, Bandex, Instituto Nacional de Formación Técnico Profesional, INFOTEP, Banesco, Noval Properties, and Banco Santa Cruz.
