Mr. De Marchena Kaluche graduated Cum Laude from Pedro Henriquez Ureña National University (UNPHU) in 1984. He also obtained a Master´s Degree in Business Administration (MBA) from the Santo Domingo Technical Institute (INTEC) in 1990.
He was Dean of the Consular Corps accredited in the Dominican Republic (2017-2019). Honorary Consul of Jamaica in the Dominican Republic since 1994. He is a Member of the Board of Directors of the Association of Hotels and Tourism of the Dominican Republic (ASONAHORES) since 1998, an institution of which he was President from 2004 to 2006, and an honorary professor of the Faculty of Hotel Administration of the Universidad Central del Este (UCE) since 2009.
He was president of the Caribbean Hotel and Tourism Association – CHTA (2010-2012) and other distinguished associations in the country.
He is an active member of the Dominican Republic Bar Association, the Inter-American Bar Association (ITBA), and the American Bar Association (ABA).
