In October, 491,787 tourists arrived in the country, exceeding the numbers of arrivals in that same month in 2021, which shows the total recovery of the sector.

The income that the country has received through the tourism sector reached US $ 7,278 million in the first ten months of this year, thanks to the fact that the figures of tourist arrivals each month continue to be exceeded, proof of the total recovery of the sector.

When presenting the tourist arrival figures for October, the Minister of Tourism, David Collado, said that in this month alone revenues are estimated at US $ 517.2 million.

He said that Central Bank forecasts an estimated income of US $ 8,400 million for 2022.

If this figure is reached, it would double what the sector generated last year, in addition to surpassing pre-pandemic revenues.
