When referring to the attractions of the Punta Bergantín project compared to other tourist destinations in the country, Andrés Marranzini, the executive director, first mentioned the distance.

“We are eight minutes from Gregorio Luperón Airport and an hour from Santiago Airport. Therefore, distance is a differentiating factor from the accessibility point of view,” he explained, adding that a flight from Florida, USA, takes just an hour and 30 minutes.

He believes this aspect allows for better positioning and development. Secondly, he noted that Puerto Plata is the only consolidated destination in the country where hotel development is close to an active town with culture, people, and activities. Tourists can leave the hotel and enjoy the local attractions. “It’s a different beach because it’s the Atlantic, not the Caribbean Sea; it has a distinct flavor,” he added while participating in the Weekly Lunch of the Corripio Communications Group.

Similarly, Marranzini stated that, visually, it offers a different landscape from the East, as it features views of the mountains.
