The project will promote Puerto Plata to thousands of tourists and promises to have 4,500 new hotel rooms and 2,000 residential and mixed-use tourist units.

He also assured that the Punta Bergantín project “will capture the unique essence of the beautiful Puerto Plata region.”

“We are going to close operations that will guarantee some 6,300,000 tourists to the DR, which is what the American market represents,” said Minister Collado.

“This is the largest amount of representation of companies that DR has had at any fair, in the entire world,” he said.
