PUERTO PLATA.- Con la intención de presentar las prioridades y necesidades del destino Puerto Plata, los empresarios del sector hotelero sostuvieron un almuerzo empresarial con el presidente de la República, Luis Abinader durante su visita a esta provincia el pasado fin de semana.
El acto se llevó a cabo el pasado sábado 10 de octubre, en las instalaciones del hotel Emotions By Hodelpa del complejo de Playa Dorada, donde el mandatario hizo acto de presencia en compañía de la vicepresidenta Raquel Peña, el ministro de Turismo, David Collado y la viceministra de Gestión de Destino, Patricia Mejía.
En la agenda central se presentó las prioridades del destino en materia de conectividad aérea, infraestructura y organización territorial, los cuales estuvieron a cargo de Edmundo Aja, Luis López, Miguel Ángel Jiménez Messón y José Natalio Redondo, respectivamente.
De igual modo, fue presentado el proyecto del Mercado San Felipe, por el Ingeniero Guillermo Pérez, un museo que mostrará las diversas riquezas que caracterizan a la Novia del Atlántico, como son la producción de café, cacao, ron, entre otros.
En su intervención el mandatario aseguró que su gobierno está comprometido en realizar acciones que ayuden a levantar este polo turístico, de manera que vuelva a recuperar el protagonismo que una vez tuvo y felicitó al ministro de Turismo, David Collado, por su gestión a fin de lograr dicho objetivo.
En la actividad estuvieron, además, la gobernadora de Puerto Plata, Claritza Rochtte, el obispo de la diócesis de Puerto Plata, Julio César Corniel Amaro, la senadora, Ginette Bournigal; el Alcalde de San Felipe de Puerto Plata, Diómedes García (Roquelito).
También los empresarios Edmundo Aja, anfitrión del evento, José Natalio Redondo, presidente del Grupo Rescue y de la Asociación de Hoteles, Restaurantes y Empresas Turísticas del Norte (ASHONORTE), el presidente Ahmsa Marina Hotels and Resorts, Luis López, el presidente de la Asociación Del Desarrollo Sostenible de Sosúa, Andrés Pastoriza y el primer vicepresidente de la Asociación de Industriales de la Región Norte (AIREN) Ricky Brugal.
