El Comité Nacional de Salarios (CNS) recordó que a partir del 1 de noviembre próximo se deberá aumentar el 7% restante del ajuste salarial para el sector privado no sectorizado.
De tal manera, los niveles de salario mínimo en ese sector quedarán de la siguiente manera:
El presidente del CNS, Félix Hidalgo exhortó a los empleadores a elaborar con tiempo la nómina y a hacer los ajustes necesarios a los fines de que el incremento salarial se haga efectivo a partir de la fecha señalada.
También destacó que el cuerpo de inspectores del Ministerio del Trabajo estará vigilante a la ejecución de las nuevas tarifas salariales, y recordó que las decisiones del CNS tienen fuerza de ley y son de obligatorio cumplimiento.
En mayo se decidió un aumento de 20% del salario mínimo para los trabajadores privados no sectorizados que entró en vigencia en dos tramos. Quedaba pendiente el 7% pautado para el 1 de noviembre.

The CNS recalled that as of November 1, the remaining 7% of the salary adjustment for the non-sectoral private sector should be increased.
So, minimum wage levels in this sector will be as follows:
- RD $ 15,447.6 for companies with capital or stocks equal or greater than the RD $ 4 million
- RD $ 10,620.00 for companies whose capital and stocks amount to between RD $ 2 million and RD $ 4 million
- RD $ 9,411.60 minimum wage for companies with capital or stocks less than RD $ 2 million
- RD $ 13,032.00 basic salary for private security guards
- RD $ 320.40 daily wage for farm workers
CNS President Felix Hidalgo urged employers to prepare the payroll in time and make the necessary adjustments so that the salary increase becomes effective as of the date indicated.
He also stressed that the inspectors’ body of the Ministry of Labor will be monitoring the execution of the new salary rates, and recalled that the decisions of the CNS have the force of law and are mandatory.
A 20% increase in the minimum wage for non-sectorized private workers was decided in May, which went into effect in two tranches. The remaining 7% was scheduled for November 1.
