This was stated by the directors of the ACIS, Sandy Filpo and Jose Octavio Perez, who stressed that the level of employment is high today and there is a great demand for warehouses because many new ones are arriving and others are expanding.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Filpo stressed that this is due to the country&#8217;s legal security and because today companies are looking to be closer to their final sales destination countries, i.e. nearshoring.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He also attributed it to the fact that the country is creating facilities to invest, approvals are faster and there is a climate of transparency. &#8220;The sector has made significant progress in terms of responding to requests. Proindustria, for example, has more than 25 applications and they have no space, and that is what we have to work on now,&#8221; he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Perez highlighted the great diversification of the sector and this also allows to receive investments of all kinds.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In Santiago, there are free zone businesses that are emblematic, dedicated to the production of cigars, textile plants, uniforms, electronic components factories, and cables used in submarine and aviation research areas.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The new investments in free zones in Santiago are on a waiting list to be able to get industrial warehouses to settle in the face of the great momentum that this sector is taking.
