Senator Rogelio Genao<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>The Dominican Association of Free Zones (Adozona) highlighted the unprecedented results of the sector in exports in the month of July. Data released by the General Directorate of Customs (DGA) show that exports increased by 7.9%, going from US$645.71 million in July 2022 to US $ 696.71 million in July 2023, which equates to an increase in value of approximately US$51.00 million.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The president of Adozona, Luis Jos\u00e9 Bonilla Bojos, stated that this achievement marks a significant milestone for the sector and consolidates the position reached in May 2023, when a historical record of US$772.37 million in exports was reached, followed by a solid performance in June 2023 with US$718.72 million exported.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;This outstanding performance in July 2023, the best July in history, has had a positive impact on the cumulative value of exports for the January-July period, which has seen a modest increase of 2.5%, from US$4,571.14 million in 2022 to US$4,684.42 million in 2023, equivalent to a growth in value of approximately US$113.28 million,&#8221; Bonilla said.<br>This growth in exports from the Free Zones occurs in stark contrast to the significant decline in national exports, which have dropped 11.1%, falling from US$2,616.69 million in 2022 to US$2,325.48 million in 2023, representing a loss of US$291.01 million. He notes that this decline in domestic exports has been partially offset by the strong performance of the Free Trade Zones.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Free zones have achieved a historic July in exports, demonstrating the sector\u2019s resilience and capacity for growth in a challenging environment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-pullquote\" style=\"border-radius:25px;border-style:solid;font-size:10px\"><blockquote><p>Sakira Manufacturing, a subsidiary of Champro Spor (established in the sports equipment and uniforms market since 1987) is the company that will be installed in these model warehouses that President Luis Abinader inaugurated today in La Vega and that meet all the space and facilities requirements for our collaborators, sought by our international clients and on a par with competing parks abroad.
