Nine of the ten busiest airlines in January 2023 are based in the US (6) or Canada (3). Copa, based in Panama, was the only North American one, positioning itself as the sixth busiest in January 2023 with 93,282 passengers, 6% of the total.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full is-resized\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/dmklawyers.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/02\/image-2.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-9080\" width=\"625\" height=\"269\" srcset=\"https:\/\/dmklawyers.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/02\/image-2.png 975w, https:\/\/dmklawyers.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/02\/image-2-300x129.png 300w, https:\/\/dmklawyers.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/02\/image-2-768x331.png 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 625px) 100vw, 625px\" \/><figcaption><strong><em>Key:<\/em><\/strong><em>\u00a0 Routes\/Airlines. America\/Europe\/Asia<\/em><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>New York was the busiest connection with the 225,730 passengers carried, accounting for 14% of the total. Most of its passenger traffic connected the country through the airports of Las Americas and Del Cibao, and to a lesser extent, Punta Cana and Puerto Plata.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The busiest Latin American connections were Tocumen and Bogot\u00e1, with 93,282 and 47,868 passengers, respectively, and the busiest European connection, Madrid, mobilized a total of 72,202 passengers, representing 5% of the total and about a third of all Europe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Most operations were conducted on A320 aircraft with a total of 1,861, followed by operations on B738 aircraft with 1,730; followed by B739 aircraft with 1,333; A321 aircraft with 1,124 and B38M with 966. Mondays are the days with the highest number of operations with 2,703, followed by Sundays with 2,591 and Tuesdays with 2,558.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>With 7,569 operations, North America is the region with the highest volume of operations, followed by flights connecting with Central America and the Caribbean with 7,028, then flights connecting with South America with 1,546, Europe with 953, and Asia with six.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Figures for the domestic Dominican airlines show Arajet with 412 operations (entry and exit), followed by Sky High Aviation Services Dominicana with 337; Air Century with 166,
