{"id":8559,"date":"2022-10-24T16:08:59","date_gmt":"2022-10-24T16:08:59","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dmklawyers.com\/?p=8559"},"modified":"2022-10-25T12:11:59","modified_gmt":"2022-10-25T12:11:59","slug":"contingency-management-in-hazardous-situations-in-the-tourism-sector","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dmklawyers.com\/en\/contingency-management-in-hazardous-situations-in-the-tourism-sector\/","title":{"rendered":"Contingency Management in Crisis Situations in the Tourism Sector"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Lawyers from the firm DMK Abogados held a workshop on &#8220;Contingency Management in Crisis Situations in the Tourism Sector&#8221;\u00a0as part of the XXXIV\u00a0ASONAHORES\u00a0Trade Fair\u00a0which was held at BlueMall PuntaCana, from October 19<sup>th<\/sup>\u00a0 to 21<sup>st<\/sup>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In his presentation on the basic notions&nbsp;of civil liability in the Tourism sector,&nbsp;partner and director of DMK Abogados\u2019 Litigation and Labor department,&nbsp;Iv\u00e1n Orlando Garc\u00eda Elsevyf,&nbsp;spoke about the legal basis of civil liability and possible incidents in the hotel sector, such as bodily injury,&nbsp;illness, poisoning,&nbsp;the disappearance of tourists,&nbsp; crimes&nbsp;and misdemeanors&nbsp;committed by and towards tourists, theft&nbsp;(inside the facilities and in the beach areas,) death. He also&nbsp;&nbsp;put forward&nbsp;preventive measures to be taken &nbsp;during and after any such occurrence in the tourism industry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Meanwhile, speaking about&nbsp;preventive behavior for those involved in the tourism industry when faced with criminal acts occurring in their establishments, Senior Litigation Lawyer at DMK Abogados,&nbsp;Eduardo Arturo Moreta Bello&nbsp;mentioned the implications of telecommunications in market demands, some types of crime commonly carried out in hotel establishments and good commercial practices.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Vanessa Retif&nbsp;\u00c1lvarez,&nbsp;Senior Lawyer in the DMK Abogado\u2019s Labor department, spoke about the prevention and countermeasures for work accidents in the tourism&nbsp;sector.
