{"id":7854,"date":"2022-07-14T21:41:17","date_gmt":"2022-07-14T21:41:17","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dmklawyers.com\/?p=7854"},"modified":"2022-07-15T16:24:33","modified_gmt":"2022-07-15T16:24:33","slug":"more-than-7-million-passengers-travelled-through-dr-airports-in-the-first-half-of-the-year","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dmklawyers.com\/en\/more-than-7-million-passengers-travelled-through-dr-airports-in-the-first-half-of-the-year\/","title":{"rendered":"More than 7 million passengers travelled through DR airports in the first half of the year"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The Dominican Civil Aviation Institute (IDAC) reported that more than 7 million passengers travelled through the various airports in the country during the first semester of this year 2022.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The information was offered by the deputy director general of IDAC, H\u00e9ctor Porcella, who explained that between January and June of this year 2022, 7,714,323 travelers were mobilized in flights entering and leaving the various international airports.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The official pointed out that, during the month of June, 1,319,310 passengers entered the country.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He went on to detail that in January the number of travelers mobilized was 1,288,972, while in February the figure reached 1,177,657.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to statistics, the number was 1,347,448 in March.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He also indicated that, in April, the number of passengers was 1,350,993, while that figure came to 1,229,945 in May.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The official emphasized that these numbers totaled 7,714,323 travelers mobilized through the various international airports in the country, in the first half of 2022.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>During this period, passengers entered and left through the Punta Cana, Las Am\u00e9ricas, and Puerto Plata international airports, in addition to the Catey-Saman\u00e1, Mar\u00eda Montez- Barahona, Cibao-Santiago, La Romana, and Hig\u00fcero-Santo Domingo terminals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He also said that, like every month, Punta Cana and Las Americas airports continue the lead in the number of passengers entering the country from abroad.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>H\u00e9ctor Porcella stressed that, during the first quarter of 2022, the Dominican Republic set a record by mobilizing 5,160,661 passengers by air in and out of the country, which represented half of those transported during that same period of 2021.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He said that the Dominican Civil Aviation Institute (IDAC), the Ministry of Tourism and the Civil Aviation Board (JAC) forecast that, by the end of 2022, more than 15 million national and foreign passengers will have been mobilized.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The aeronautical and airport authorities highlight that international civil aviation experiencing the best moments in the current situation due to the increase in the flow of passengers and the incorporation of new airlines.
