It also has a shopping area with shops, cafes, an amphitheater, and other leisure areas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Last November, the complex added facilities and opened the &#8220;Senzia Spa &amp; Wellness&#8221;, with more than a thousand square meters of space, twelve cabins, saunas, Turkish bath, beauty salon, jacuzzi, and several swimming pools, among other facilities and amenities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In 2017, the Spanish chain invested US$ 100 million dollars, as a commitment to the tourism of the <em>Bride of the Atlantic<\/em>, purchasing three hotels as part of its expansion plan in Latin America and the Caribbean. The facilities they bought that were closed belonged to the Riu chain, namely, Club Hotel Riu Merengue, Club Hotel Riu Mambo and the Riu Bachata.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Currently, the brand has two hotels in Puerto Plata, the 592-room Senator Puerto Plata Spa Resort and the 98-room Playabachata Spa Resort.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Senator is one of the main chains in Andalusia, with 52 years of operations in 22 destinations, with 38 hotels and 9,414 rooms located in destinations that include Dominican Republic and Mexico, in addition to Spain.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Spanish chain Senator Hotels &amp; Resorts will reopen the Senator Puerto Plata Spa Resort hotel on December 15 in an event to be headed by the President of the Republic, Luis Abinader Corona.
