Its first phase will feature <strong>548 hotel rooms<\/strong>, divided between <strong>250 rooms at The Ritz-Carlton Yanuna<\/strong> and <strong>298 rooms at Casa Mirall\u00e1, The Luxury Collection<\/strong>, both brands of <strong>Marriott International<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The project will also include <strong>25 Ritz-Carlton Residences<\/strong> and other residential components. Developers expect operations to begin in <strong>2029<\/strong>, targeting the luxury tourism segment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>During the event, investors announced that the development will generate approximately <strong>1,500 direct jobs during construction<\/strong> and more than <strong>1,600 permanent jobs<\/strong> once operational.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>They also stated that they will prioritize the hiring of <strong>local workers<\/strong>, the <strong>training of Dominican talent<\/strong>, and the participation of local suppliers through coordinated initiatives with the <strong>Macao community<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>From an environmental standpoint, project leaders indicated that measures will be implemented to <strong>preserve the natural characteristics<\/strong> of the area, including its <strong>beaches<\/strong>, dunes, mangroves, forests, and <strong>sea turtle nesting habitats<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Abinader Reiterates Foreign Investment and Export Growth Outlook<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>During his remarks, President <strong>Luis Abinader<\/strong> reiterated that the <strong>Dominican Republic<\/strong> is projected to receive <strong>US$5.3 billion in foreign direct investment (FDI) in 2026<\/strong>, surpassing the <strong>US$5 billion recorded in 2025<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The president also stated that <strong>Dominican exports<\/strong> are expected to exceed <strong>US$17 billion in 2026<\/strong>, compared to nearly <strong>US$16 billion in the previous year<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>These figures were presented as part of the country&#8217;s <strong>economic outlook<\/strong> and as evidence of the conditions supporting continued investment attraction and expansion of productive activity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Abinader further noted that the <strong>Dominican Republic<\/strong> has the capacity to welcome up to <strong>three times more tourists<\/strong> than it currently receives, provided that sector growth continues under principles of <strong>sustainability, organization, discipline, and public safety<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The president also highlighted other hotel developments currently underway or planned throughout the country, including investments by <strong>Four Seasons<\/strong>, <strong>Aman<\/strong>, and <strong>Accor<\/strong>, as part of the expansion of international hospitality brands in the Dominican tourism market.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>President Luis Abinader led the groundbreaking ceremony this Friday for the Yanuna mega tourism project, located at Macao Beach in La Altagracia Province, whose total investment across its various phases will exceed US$1 billion.
