reach US$7.90 Billion in the first half of 2026"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>During the <strong>first half of 2026<\/strong>, the <strong>Dominican Republic exported US$7.90 billion<\/strong>, an increase of <strong>US$1.02 billion<\/strong> compared to the same period in 2025, representing a <strong>14.8% year-over-year growth<\/strong>, according to the <strong>National Statistics Office (ONE)<\/strong> in its <em>January\u2013June 2026 Exports Bulletin<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Compared with the <strong>US$6.88 billion<\/strong> exported during the first six months of 2025, the latest figures also reflect a <strong>17.4% year-over-year increase in June exports<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to the report, the overall growth was primarily driven by <strong>gold and raw tobacco exports<\/strong>, which together contributed an additional <strong>US$828.4 million<\/strong>, making them the principal drivers of export expansion during the period.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The bulletin also noted that <strong>Free Trade Zone (FTZ) exports<\/strong> totaled <strong>US$4.40 billion<\/strong>, representing a <strong>3.7% increase<\/strong> compared with the first half of 2025.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Meanwhile, <strong>national exports<\/strong> recorded the strongest performance, rising <strong>35.2% year-over-year<\/strong> and accounting for <strong>42.2% of total exports<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The remaining <strong>2.0% of exports<\/strong>, corresponding to <strong>other customs regimes<\/strong>, declined by <strong>5.5%<\/strong> during the same
