Three of the five IMAM variables declined during the previous month<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Monthly Manufacturing Activity Index (IMAM)<\/strong> reached 51.9 in February<\/strong>, improving from 51.2 in January<\/strong> and remaining above the 50-point threshold for the second consecutive month<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to the Association of Industries of the Dominican Republic (AIRD)<\/strong>, which compiles the index, this result reflects an upward trend at the beginning of the year<\/strong>, reversing the contraction recorded at the close of 2025<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The February 2026 growth<\/strong> was primarily driven by a rebound in sales volume<\/strong>, which offset the decline observed in other variables. The sales volume indicator increased from 50.16 in January to 55.84 in February<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Meanwhile, other components of the index showed mixed performance:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
