compared to 2024, free trade zones remain the country\u2019s <strong>primary export engine<\/strong>, accounting for <strong>60.75% of total exports<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Export composition by economic destination:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Consumer goods:<\/strong> 50.83%<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Capital goods:<\/strong> 33.26%<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Raw materials:<\/strong> 15.91%<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>This structure reflects the sector\u2019s strong orientation toward <strong>manufactured goods with higher value added<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Leading export products:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Tobacco and manufactured tobacco substitutes:<\/strong> 15.91%<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Electrical machinery and equipment:<\/strong> 13.98%<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Knitted apparel:<\/strong> 7.10%<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Also standing out:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Pearls and precious stones:<\/strong> 6.61%<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Pharmaceutical products:<\/strong> countries<\/strong>, with the <strong>United States<\/strong> as the main market, absorbing <strong>73.50%<\/strong> of total exports.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This was followed by:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Puerto Rico:<\/strong> 4.06%<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Netherlands:<\/strong> 3.17%<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Haiti:<\/strong> 3.03%<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>China:<\/strong> 1.74%<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Other markets accounted for the remaining <strong>9.66%<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Maritime transport:<\/strong> 76.99%<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Air transport:<\/strong> 20.65%<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Land transport:<\/strong>
