This expansion was driven primarily by the <strong>agriculture and mining sectors<\/strong>, as well as <strong>financial intermediation services<\/strong> and <strong>hotels, bars, and restaurants<\/strong>, among others.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This performance reflects an improvement in the <strong>Monthly Economic Activity Indicator (IMAE)<\/strong> in November, which posted a <strong>year-on-year increase of 3.2%<\/strong>, according to data from the <strong>Central Bank of the Dominican Republic (BCRD)<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In a press release issued today, the BCRD highlighted the recent <strong>acceleration of public investment<\/strong>, in line with the revised State budget for 2025, which is expected to support an economic recovery.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Modest growth<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>With the improvement recorded last month, the national economy rebounded from the <strong>0.2% growth registered in October<\/strong>, bringing cumulative year-on-year growth for that period to <strong>2.0%<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The economy faced challenges in achieving stronger growth during the first eleven months of 2025. The IMAE reached its <strong>highest level in March<\/strong>, when it recorded <strong>year-on-year growth of 5.4%<\/strong>, followed by November and May, the latter posting an expansion of <strong>3.1%<\/strong>, according to the Central Bank\u2019s statistical records.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Dominican economy recorded cumulative growth of 2.1% between January and November 2025.
