{"id":11697,"date":"2025-08-14T17:49:17","date_gmt":"2025-08-14T17:49:17","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dmklawyers.com\/?p=11697"},"modified":"2025-08-15T13:44:40","modified_gmt":"2025-08-15T13:44:40","slug":"hyatt-hotels-with-strong-results-thanks-to-the-luxury-and-all-inclusive-segment-of-playa-hotels","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dmklawyers.com\/en\/hyatt-hotels-with-strong-results-thanks-to-the-luxury-and-all-inclusive-segment-of-playa-hotels\/","title":{"rendered":"Hyatt Hotels with strong results thanks to the luxury and all-inclusive segment of Playa Hotels"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Strong commission generation and strategic advances reported in Hyatt\u2019s \u201casset-light\u201d business model, reinforced by recent Playa Hotels acquisition<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Hyatt Hotels Corporation announced its financial results for the second quarter of 2025, highlighting sustained growth in global expansion, strong commission generation, and strategic advances in its \u201casset-light\u201d business model, reinforced by the recent acquisition of Playa Hotels.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Operational and financial performance<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Comparable system-wide hotel RevPAR grew 1.6% compared to the same period in 2024.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Net room growth of 11.8% (6.5% excluding acquisitions).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Net income attributable to Hyatt of \u2013US$3 million and adjusted net income of US$66 million.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Gross fees of US$301 million, a 9.5% year-over-year increase.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Adjusted EBITDA of US$303 million, a 9% increase adjusted for asset sales in 2024.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Management and franchise contract pipeline of approximately 140,000 rooms, up 8%.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>2025 projections (excluding impact from Playa Hotels):<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Comparable RevPAR growth between 1% and 3%.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Net room growth (excluding acquisitions) between 6% and 7%.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Projected adjusted EBITDA between US$1.085 billion and US\\$1.130 billion, implying a 7% to 11% increase adjusted for asset sales.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Capital return to shareholders of approximately US$300 million via dividends and share repurchases.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Strategy and global expansion<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Mark S. Hoplamazian, Hyatt\u2019s President and CEO, emphasized that the results reflect \u201cstrong performance across the company, with a solid contribution from fees even in a lower RevPAR growth environment.\u201d He highlighted that the integration of Playa Hotels and the planned sale of Hyatt\u2019s real estate portfolio will consolidate Hyatt\u2019s leadership in the luxury all-inclusive resort segment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>During the quarter, Hyatt opened 8,920 rooms, including Playa Hotels properties, and launched the new brand <em>Unscripted by Hyatt<\/em>. Notable openings included Hyatt Regency Zadar (Croatia), Dreams Rose Hall Resort &amp; Spa, Z\u00e9lia Halkidiki \u2013 Destination by Hyatt, and AluaSoul Sunny Beach.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Financial strength<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As of June 30, 2025, Hyatt reported total liquidity of US$2.4 billion, including US\\$912 million in cash and equivalents and US\\$1.497 billion in available borrowing capacity.
