exclaimed.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He also pledged that the development of this activity, along with others related to the Dominican coasts, will be carried out taking into consideration criteria of sustainability and social justice. &nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Abinader also spoke about national efforts to move towards sustainable management, highlighting that the Dominican Republic has already protected 30% of its marine territory, reaching a key goal of the Kunming-Montreal Global Framework for Biological Diversity.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Furthermore, the President announced the development of a maritime strategy, a tool that will guide the protection and sustainable use of its waters and encourage an open-access oceanographic data platform, already in use by fishermen, researchers and
