These qualities are among the key indicators that have driven service improvements and the expansion of Hyatt Hotels Corporation in the country, which currently boasts more than 120 hotels, 26 of which are located on Dominican beaches.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThe strong air connectivity that the Dominican Republic has with Canada, the United States, Europe, and Latin America has created demand and growth opportunities. These have been made possible thanks to the government\u2019s efforts to position the island as a secure investment destination, where political stability inspires investor confidence,\u201d said Fernando Fern\u00e1ndez, Vice President of Development for Latin America and the Caribbean at Hyatt.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He explained that political stability has positively impacted investment, as the facilities and incentives provided by the government to the tourism sector give investors the assurance that the Dominican Republic is a safe place to invest.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cPolitical stability has had a huge impact, because it\u2019s one of the first things an investor looks at \u2014 the security of their investment, that laws won&#8217;t change overnight. The political continuity the Dominican Republic has experienced in recent years has strengthened investor confidence,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The close relationship between the Ministry of Tourism (MITUR) and hotel owners, as well as its active role within the Dominican Republic Hotels and Tourism Association (Asonahores) and other government agencies, is also a key factor in the sector\u2019s success, according to Fern\u00e1ndez.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For the executive, who has been with Hyatt for over 10 years and has more than 40 years of experience in hotel operations, the task for the sector is clear: <strong>\u201cTo continue investing,\u201d<\/strong> he told <em>List\u00edn Diario<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThe task is to keep investing \u2014 what\u2019s essential is to maintain trust. Many of our owners don\u2019t just have one hotel with us; they have several.
