{"id":11485,"date":"2025-05-29T13:22:25","date_gmt":"2025-05-29T13:22:25","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dmklawyers.com\/?p=11485"},"modified":"2025-05-29T13:22:28","modified_gmt":"2025-05-29T13:22:28","slug":"tourists-report-greater-satisfaction-with-their-experience-in-the-dominican-republic-during-2024","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dmklawyers.com\/en\/tourists-report-greater-satisfaction-with-their-experience-in-the-dominican-republic-during-2024\/","title":{"rendered":"Tourists report greater satisfaction with their experience in the Dominican Republic during 2024"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>99.5% of tourists are satisfied with the quality of food in the Dominican Republic\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Tourists who visited the Dominican Republic in 2024 showed a higher level of satisfaction in key aspects of their experience, compared to the previous year, according to the results of the <em>2024 Survey of Opinion, Attitudes and Motivations of Non-Resident Foreigners<\/em>, published by the Central Bank of the Dominican Republic (BCRD).&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to the survey, satisfaction with hotel services increased: 75.5% of respondents rated the service received as &#8220;Excellent&#8221; or &#8220;Very Good&#8221; in 2024, compared to 72% in 2023.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Likewise, the proportion of tourists who rated these services as &#8220;Bad&#8221; or &#8220;Very Bad&#8221; fell from 0.3% to 0.1% in the same period.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The Central Bank&#8217;s study was carried out through simultaneous surveys applied to 31,846 tourists at the country&#8217;s main international airports: Las Am\u00e9ricas, Punta Cana, Puerto Plata, Cibao, La Romana and Saman\u00e1.\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>According to BCRD data, the number of non-resident air passengers reached 8,535,701&nbsp;at the end of 2024,&nbsp;a year-on-year increase of 5.9%, equivalent to 477,030 additional tourists compared to 2023.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Of the total, 83.5% corresponded to foreign travelers (7,125,362 people) and the remaining 16.5% to non-resident Dominicans (1,410,338 people).&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Gastronomy<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The perception was also positive in terms of gastronomy. In 2024, 83.9% of visitors rated the quality of the food as &#8220;Excellent&#8221; or &#8220;Very Good,&#8221; compared to 81.9% in 2023. The proportion of tourists who considered it &#8220;Bad&#8221; decreased from 0.2% to 0.1%.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In addition, 15.8% of tourists in 2024 rated the meal service as &#8220;Good&#8221; or &#8220;Acceptable&#8221;, raising the overall level of satisfaction in this aspect to 99.7%.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On the other hand, the quality of the food was rated&nbsp;&#8220;Excellent&#8221; or &#8220;Very Good&#8221; by 84.7% of the respondents, in addition to&nbsp;14.8% who rated it as &#8220;Good&#8221; or &#8220;Acceptable&#8221;, meaning 99.5% total satisfaction. In 2023, these figures were 81.9% and 17.2%, respectively, for a total of 99.1%, slightly lower than that recorded in 2024.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The overall perception of the trip continues to be very positive. In 2024, 99.8% of tourists said their expectations were met, a slight improvement from the 99.5% reported in 2023, indicating sustainably high levels of satisfaction among visitors.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Beach services also reflected progress. The &#8220;Excellent&#8221; or &#8220;Very Good&#8221; rating increased from 72.2% in 2023 to 77.2% in 2024. When also considering the 15.7% who rated this service as &#8220;Good&#8221; or &#8220;Acceptable&#8221;, the total level of satisfaction reached 91.9%, exceeding the 87.9% of the previous year.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As for the service at the airports, tourists also showed a more favorable perception. In 2024, 87.2% rated it as &#8220;Excellent&#8221; or &#8220;Very Good,&#8221; up from 87% in 2023. Only 0.1% rated it as &#8220;Bad&#8221; or &#8220;Very Bad.&#8221;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Adding the 12.6% who considered it &#8220;Good&#8221; or &#8220;Acceptable&#8221;, the general satisfaction in this aspect stood at 99.8%, a figure that remains the same as the previous year.&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Tourists who visited the Dominican Republic in 2024 showed a
