With 94.58% of the polling stations counted, President Luis Abinader emerges as the winner of the elections held this Sunday in the Dominican Republic.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In the 8:00 am bulletin this Monday, Abinader, of the Partido Revolucionario Moderno (PRM), accumulates 57.16% (2,366,971) of the votes cast, while in second place is the candidate of the Fuerza del Pueblo (FP), Leonel Fern\u00e1ndez, with 29.34% (1,214,887).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In third place is Abel Mart\u00ednez, of the Partido de la Liberaci\u00f3n Dominicana (PLD), with 10.21% (422,735).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The fourth place is occupied by one of the minority parties, the Partido Esperanza Democr\u00e1tica (PED), with 1.33% (55,231).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In fifth place is Carlos Pe\u00f1a, from Generaci\u00f3n de Servidores (GENS), with 0.73% (30,084). The sixth place is occupied by Opci\u00f3n Democr\u00e1tica (OD), with its candidate Virginia Antares, who has 0.57% (23,737).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In seventh place is Miguel Vargas, from the Partido Revolucionario Dominicano (PRD), with 0.45% (18,752). In eighth place is Mar\u00eda Teresa Cabrera, from the Frente Amplio, with 0.14% (5,965), and in ninth place is Fulgencio Severino, from the Partido Patria para Todos, with 0.06% (2,621).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Out of 18,313 polling stations, 17,321 have been counted, accounting for a total of 94.58%. A total of 4,211,657 votes have been cast, of which 4,140,982 are valid and 69,309 are null.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
