From January to April 2024, Dominican exports reached a value of US$3,986.4 million.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Biviana Riveiro, the Executive Director of the Dominican Republic’s Export and Investment Center (ProDominicana), reported today that during April 2024, Dominican exports amounted to US $1,155.7 million, showing a year-on-year growth of 22% and an absolute variation of US $208.1 million compared to the same month in 2023.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
According to data provided by the General Directorate of Customs (DGA), exports of medical instruments and equipment led this growth with a total export of US $106.8 million, followed by cigars with US $99.2 million, while raw gold continued to recover, registering an amount of US $96.9 million.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Riveiro emphasized that “these data confirm the solid trajectory of our Dominican export sector in the first months of the year.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
She also reported that in the cumulative period from January to April 2024, Dominican exports reached a value of US $3,986.4 million, representing a growth of 27% compared to the pre-pandemic year 2019 and 1.1% compared to 2023.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
