{"id":10232,"date":"2024-03-27T12:40:14","date_gmt":"2024-03-27T12:40:14","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dmklawyers.com\/?p=10232"},"modified":"2024-03-27T13:16:23","modified_gmt":"2024-03-27T13:16:23","slug":"10-new-companies-and-two-free-zone-parks-approved","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dmklawyers.com\/en\/10-new-companies-and-two-free-zone-parks-approved\/","title":{"rendered":"10 new companies and two free zone parks approved"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>In its regular session held on March 21, the National Council of Export Free Zones (CNZFE) approved the installation permits for 10 companies and two free zone parks, with a projected investment of more than 17.24 million dollars and more than US$10.71 million in foreign currency.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to the information released by the executive director of the CNZFE, Daniel Liranzo, these new companies and parks will create some 4,708 direct jobs&nbsp;scattered throughout various provinces nationwide&nbsp;and will continue to have a significant impact on the growth of the national economy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Liranzo also reported that these companies will be focused on call center services, the manufacture of aluminum and glass doors and windows, textile manufacturing, logistics services, tobacco and cigar processing, among others.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The approved parks and companies will be set up in Santo Domingo, San Pedro de Macor\u00eds, Cotu\u00ed, Monse\u00f1or Nouel, Santiago, and La Altagracia provinces.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The head of the CNZFE emphasized these new companies help the free zone sector reaffirm its commitment to creating more job opportunities for Dominicans.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>The sector today<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Referring to the sector\u2019s performance, Liranzo highlighted how exports grew by 12.9% in the first two months of the year compared to the same period last year.
