{"id":10028,"date":"2023-12-14T13:12:45","date_gmt":"2023-12-14T13:12:45","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dmklawyers.com\/?p=10028"},"modified":"2023-12-28T15:19:26","modified_gmt":"2023-12-28T15:19:26","slug":"dr-registers-the-highest-fdi-in-the-region","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dmklawyers.com\/en\/dr-registers-the-highest-fdi-in-the-region\/","title":{"rendered":"DR registers the highest FDI in the region"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Between 2016 and 2022, the Dominican Republic received an average of US$3,159 million in foreign direct investment (FDI), ranking above countries such as Costa Rica (US$3,086 million), Panama, Guyana, Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua and El Salvador.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The data is contained in the study &#8220;Impact of foreign investment in the Dominican Republic: Let&#8217;s double investment&#8221;, presented by the Dominican Association of Foreign Investment Companies (Asiex) in conjunction with the firm Ecoanal\u00edtica.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The study details that the Dominican Republic had a leading participation as a recipient of FDI among the countries of Central America and the Caribbean, after reaching 18%, followed by Costa Rica with 17%, the rest of the Caribbean with 16%, Panama with a participation of 15% and Guyana which had 12%, among others.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;That makes the Dominican Republic the largest recipient of foreign direct investment in the 2016-2022 period,&#8221; said Alejandro Grisanti, director of Ecoanal\u00edtica, the day before yesterday.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Between 2016 and 2022, the Dominican Republic received an average of US$3,159 million in foreign direct investment (FDI), ranking above countries such as Costa Rica (US$3,086 million), Panama, Guyana, Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua and El Salvador.
