{"id":10012,"date":"2023-12-13T12:25:54","date_gmt":"2023-12-13T12:25:54","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dmklawyers.com\/?p=10012"},"modified":"2023-12-13T12:36:49","modified_gmt":"2023-12-13T12:36:49","slug":"civil-aviation-impacts-revenue-generating-us39245-million","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dmklawyers.com\/en\/civil-aviation-impacts-revenue-generating-us39245-million\/","title":{"rendered":"Civil Aviation impacts revenue generating US$39,245 million"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Over the past two years and 10 months<strong>,&nbsp;<\/strong><strong>42,625,597 passengers have been mobilized<\/strong>&nbsp;through 343,586 air operations in and out of the Dominican Republic, which translates into an estimated US$39,245 million in direct and indirect revenue for the country and the recovery of more than 400,000 direct and indirect jobs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>These figures were offered by the president of the Civil Aviation Board (JAC),&nbsp;<strong>Jos\u00e9 Ernesto Marte Piantini<\/strong>, who emphasized that ever since taking over as head of administration of the institution, he has proposed increasing the country&#8217;s connectivity to motivate the arrival of tourists and increase air cargo capacity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Participating as a guest in&nbsp;<strong>HOY&#8217;s Economic Meeting<\/strong>, Piantini said that, between August 2020 and October 2023, the JAC signed 31 commercial cooperation agreements with airlines from various countries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In addition, 150 new routes have been added to a variety of destinations worldwide.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A total of 40,981 non-scheduled<strong>&nbsp;or charter air operations were also authorized<\/strong>, 22,212 of which were exclusive cargo operations and 18,769 were passenger and combined transport operations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In commercial aviation, charter flights are non-scheduled flights (i.e., no fixed itinerary, routes or schedules), that are not marketed through the usual sales channels, but are contracted to transport a group of people with a common destination.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The president of the JAC said that another achievement is the approval of&nbsp;<strong>14,452 flights<\/strong>&nbsp;under the Special Permit modality, in the last three years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He explained that this modality allows airlines to explore routes and shows the levels of interest in the Dominican Republic as a destination in the Caribbean.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He also pointed out that currently 533 airlines operate to and from the Dominican Republic,&nbsp;<strong>7&nbsp;<\/strong>of which&nbsp;<strong>are domestic, 63 regular and 463 charter.<\/strong><strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Two new domestic airlines with aircraft with a capacity of more than 100 passengers have also been regularly incorporated into the international market, namely, Red Air and Arajet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Regarding the national airlines, Piantini highlighted the importance of two of these companies having connectivity with the United States (Sky High Dominicana) and Canada (Arajet).<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Over the past two years and 10 months,&nbsp;42,625,597 passengers have been mobilized&nbsp;through 343,586 air operations in and out of the Dominican Republic, which translates into an estimated US$39,245 million in direct and indirect revenue for the country and the recovery&#8230;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":9,"featured_media":0,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"_acf_changed":false,"inline_featured_image":false,"_kad_blocks_custom_css":"","_kad_blocks_head_custom_js":"","_kad_blocks_body_custom_js":"","_kad_blocks_footer_custom_js":"","_kad_post_transparent":"","_kad_post_title":"","_kad_post_layout":"","_kad_post_sidebar_id":"","_kad_post_content_style":"","_kad_post_vertical_padding":"","_kad_post_feature":"","_kad_post_feature_position":"","_kad_post_header":false,"_kad_post_footer":false,"footnotes":""},"categories":[149],"tags":[],"class_list":["post-10012","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-investment-in-dr"],"acf":[],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v26.9 -
