El expresidente de los Estados Unidos de Norteamérica, Bill Clinton, manifestó que República Dominicana es un destino seguro para el turismo y llama a sus ciudadanos que visiten el país caribeño sin temor alguno. Clinton expresó que siempre se ha sentido seguro en República Dominicana, al tiempo de indicar que, “esta nación es bien manejada y las personas involucradas en la industria del turismo están realizando un buen trabajo”. El ex mandatario norteamericano dio estas declaraciones en visita a Playa Grande Golf & Ocean Club, en Rio San Juan al este de República Dominicana.

Bill Clinton señaló que vino pronto luego de la primara controversia respecto del turismo dominicano, porque estaba confiado de que una vez salieran los resultados de las autopsias a los turistas fallecidos en el país, todo sería aclarado.

“El ranking indica que hay 58 países en el mundo que son menos seguro para los turistas estadounidenses y eso fue precisamente lo que los resultados arrojaron”, declaró el expresidente norteamericano.

El expresidente de EUA dijo que ‘Quisqueya’ es un ‘lugar maravilloso’ para el golf, que cuenta con excelentes campos para esta práctica deportiva, con una diversidad geográfica en sus diferentes lugares.

A quien le guste jugar al golf, dijo Clinton, la República Dominicana es gran lugar para visitar y también ‘maravillosa’ para disfrutar de otros atractivos turísticos y descansar. “Las personas deben venir a visitar y pasar un buen rato”, acotó.

En recuperación
Bill Clinton manifestó que el país se está recuperando, después del impasse ocurrido el pasado año, por el fallecimiento de varios turistas, lo que afectó el turismo.

Maravilloso para el golf
Dijo que ‘Quisqueya’ es ‘un lugar maravilloso’ para el golf, que cuenta con excelentes campos para esta práctica deportiva.

Former US President, Bill Clinton, said the Dominican Republic is a safe tourist destination and called on the citizens of his nation to visit the Caribbean country without fear.

According to a statement, Clinton said he has always felt safe in the Dominican Republic, because the nation is «well managed» and people involved in the tourism industry do a good job.

The American ex-president spoke during a visit to Playa Grande Golf & Ocean Club, in Rio San Juan in the east of the country, where he went to play golf.

«I think everyone already knows that I love the Dominican Republic, I had never been here (Rio San Juan) before, but I have played golf in other parts of the country and this course is really beautiful,» Clinton said.

He said the country is on its way to recovery after the impasse that occurred in the middle of last year. He was emphatic in affirming that the Dominican Republic “is a great place and everyone should know it”.

He knew everything would be clarified. Bill Clinton said that he came soon after the first controversy regarding Dominican tourism, because he was confident that once the autopsy results on the tourists who died in the country came out, everything would be clarified.

«The ranking indicates that there are 58 countries in the world that are less safe for American tourists and that was precisely what the results showed,» said the former US president.

The former president of the United States said “Quisqueya” is a “marvelous place“ for golf, with excellent golf courses, and a geographical diversity in the various places.

Clinton said that for whoever likes to play golf, the Dominican Republic is a great place to visit, and also “wonderful” for enjoying other tourist attractions and to rest. «People should come to visit and have a good time,» he said.

Recovering

Bill Clinton said the country is recovering, after last year´s impasse involving the death of several tourists, which affected tourism.
